Pallir Alo means “light of the village” in Bangla. We started by bringing electricity to households the grid had not reached, and grew into a manufacturer supplying utilities, industry and partners on three continents.
01Who we are
An engineering company first
Pallir Alo Energy LTD designs, manufactures and distributes solar lighting, hybrid inverter, photovoltaic module, street lighting and pumping systems from an 18,000 m² facility in Gazipur, Bangladesh. We employ 340 people, including 46 engineers in R&D, quality and field service.
Our products are specified for the conditions we know: 45 °C ambient temperatures, 90 % humidity, monsoon rainfall, saline coastal air and unstable grids. The same specifications serve our partners in East and West Africa and Southeast Asia.
We sell through three channels: direct supply to government and donor-funded programmes, authorised distributors, and white-label partners who sell our platforms under their own brands.

02Timeline
Milestones
2012
Company founded in Dhaka as a solar home system assembler supplying IDCOL partner organisations.
2014
First public tender awarded: 1,200 SHS for a northern district electrification scheme.
2016
Gazipur facility commissioned; hybrid inverter line launched. ISO 9001 certification.
2018
First export shipment to Nepal. Street-light and pumping product lines introduced.
2020
Module lamination line commissioned; IEC 61215 / 61730 certification obtained.
2022
White-label programme launched with partners in Kenya and Nigeria.
2024
Cumulative installed base passes 600,000 systems; 48 MW delivered.
2026
Expansion into Pakistan, Tanzania, Philippines and Indonesia under way.
